Science in third grade
Meaningful learning of the vertebrate and invertebrate animals.
The students of third grade are studying the vertebrates and invertebrates. In order to integrate the meaning of this vocabulary what better way to do it than with physical evidence? We brought to school the horns and the skull of a goat so they could see by themselves what we have been teaching them. We showed them where the eyes, mouth and spine are placed as well as the horns, explaining to them why. They were really enthusiastic about it!
