Floppy’s phonics Sounds and letters is a rigorous, systematic phonics programme that offers highly practical guidance and comprehensive multi-sensory resources to support teaching and learning in school.
There are 6 sounds and letter books at level 1+. They practice sounds and graphemes in the context of Oxford stories.
Each book introduces and practices three or four sounds and provides consolidation activities including matching activities.
There is also one activity sheet for every grapheme. Children can practice their reading and writing skills through activities such as letter-tracing, saying the sound and key word, blending (pan: p, a, n) to read words, writing the grapheme, orally segmenting words and gradually progressing to reading and writing simple sentences.
